The Role This position is rostered across Tuesday to Saturday with varying shift times. By applying, you confirm your availability to work these days.

As a Sales Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide outstanding customer service, creating a memorable shopping experience and fostering a lasting positive connection with our brand. A JD Sports Sales Assistant is energetic, genuine, and customer-focused, offering personalised assistance to customers seeking the best products and biggest brands.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Acting as a brand ambassador, demonstrating positivity and professionalism.
• Acquiring and maintaining up-to-date product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
• Providing personalised one-on-one customer service.
• Assisting customers with all inquiries and processing sales.
• Collaborating with management and the store team to achieve KPIs and targets.
• Supporting the wider team with ad hoc tasks, including visual merchandising setup, store cleanliness, and presentation.
• Escalating any customer complaints to management.
• Consistently completing mandatory training related to product, policy, and procedure.

• Customer service experience within retail, hospitality, or a similar industry.
• Ability to deliver excellent service and go above and beyond.
• A passion for sports fashion or knowledge of key brands.
• A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Enthusiasm for overcoming challenges and acquiring new skills.
• Strong communication skills, with a talent for engaging customers and teamwork.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on store requirements.
