The Role

This position is rostered from Sunday to Thursday with variable shift times. By applying, you confirm your availability to work during these days.

At JD Sports, we are committed to operational excellence. As a Back of House Assistant, you will contribute to delivering outstanding customer experiences by ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and speed from the stock room to the selling floor. Your responsibilities will include receiving, unpacking, processing, organising, labelling, and storing merchandise. You will be operationally driven, possess a high level of attention to detail, and demonstrate significant energy to manage customer demand.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Back of House Manager/Supervisor with managing deliveries, maintaining the tidiness and order of the back of house area, preventing damage, and minimising stock loss.
• Assisting the sales team with product inquiries and customer requests, including promptly retrieving footwear styles and sizes for customers on the shop floor.
• Upholding Back of House standards in accordance with company expectations.
• Ensuring products are accurately priced and tagged.
• Contributing to shop floor standards by replenishing stock levels as needed, ensuring all size ranges are available.
• Working under the direction and support of the Store Manager and Back of House Management team to achieve KPIs and targets.

What We're Looking For

• Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar industry.
• Experience in a Back of House or Warehouse environment is favourable, but not essential.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Organisational skills.
• Strong operational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• An aptitude for viewing challenges as opportunities for personal development, career advancement, and skill acquisition.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as dictated by store needs.
