The Position Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the General Manager Logistics will be fully responsible for the complete logistics function across the company's national network. This encompasses:
- National logistics strategy, network design, and operational execution across all sites.
- Management of inbound raw material flow, warehousing, inventory, and outbound finished goods distribution.
- Fleet management, oversight of 3PL partnerships, and carrier network management.
- Ensuring compliance and integrity of cold chain and ambient logistics.
- Participation in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and aligning demand and supply with commercial and planning teams.
- Developing and managing the logistics technology roadmap, including TMS, WMS, and ERP integration.
- Leading a large, geographically dispersed team of logistics professionals.
- Ownership of logistics capital expenditure and operating budgets.
- Driving continuous improvement and network optimisation programs.
- Ensuring full regulatory, food safety, and WHS compliance across the logistics function.
Your Profile To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should possess:
- Over 15 years of experience in logistics or supply chain leadership, with a minimum of 5 years at a GM or senior executive level.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multi-site logistics operations within FMCG, food manufacturing, or similarly complex industries.
- In-depth expertise in transport, warehousing, cold chain, and 3PL management.
- A proven ability to simultaneously enhance cost efficiency and service performance.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience collaborating with sales, finance, and operations at an executive level.
- Accomplished people leadership skills with a track record of fostering high-performance cultures within large, dispersed teams.
- Hands-on experience with major logistics technology platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
- A tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics, engineering, or business; postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded.
