Gove Maintenance Administrator
SH Build is seeking a Gove Maintenance Administrator for a full-time position based in Nhulunbuy. This is a remote role.
SH Build specialises in remote construction across the Northern Territory and is looking for an experienced Maintenance Administrator to join their dynamic and energetic Gove-based team. This role is suited to an individual who enjoys administration, variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is organised, proactive, and detail-focused.
About the Role
Based at the regional office in Gove, this position is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of two active building maintenance contracts. It also provides broader office and project administration support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and scheduling maintenance works for SH Build crews and subcontractors.
- Managing on-call rosters.
- Tracking labour, verifying timesheets, and allocating hours correctly within Simpro.
- Preparing and finalising maintenance jobs and invoices for finance.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, tenants, subcontractors, and maintenance staff.
- Supporting vacate and larger-scale maintenance works from planning through to completion.
- Providing general office, HR, and administrative support to Senior Managers.
This is a hands-on, trusted position that plays a critical role in maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Essential Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working in a small to medium office environment.
- Strong administration and coordination experience (maintenance or project-based preferred).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Ability to liaise confidently with onsite crews, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in systems and technology, with the ability to learn new platforms.
- Knowledge of and commitment to working within Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable (but not essential)
The following experience will be highly regarded:
- Project administration experience on Government projects.
- Maintenance scheduling and administration experience.
- Experience using Simpro software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate and support staff.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
