Hire Controller / Customer Service Officer Flexihire is seeking a Hire Controller / Customer Service Officer to join their Rocklea branch.

About the role: This position involves providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities include generating quotes, communicating pricing and availability, and managing hire equipment bookings. The role also requires supporting upselling initiatives, coordinating deliveries and pick-ups, and gaining knowledge of various machinery, from small hand tools to large compaction rollers. You will liaise with workshop mechanics, assist customers with loading and unloading equipment, and undertake occasional deliveries to customer sites and yard work as needed. This role offers an introduction into a growing career opportunity.

Typical hours are 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Key skills required:

• Previous hire controlling or hire industry experience is very highly regarded.
• Sound written and strong verbal communication skills.
• A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions, with the capacity to work both collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously to meet required timeframes.
• Sound experience with IT applications, including the Microsoft suite.
• Time management skills, including the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in response to changing priorities.
• Ability to run reports, audit documentation, and adhere to procedures.
• Physically fit.
