Inclusive Education Coordinator POR3

Xavier College is seeking an experienced and compassionate Inclusive Education Coordinator to join the founding leadership team of its new Riverlea Park Campus (R–6), commencing January 2027.
This is a full-time, permanent teaching position classified as POR3, with a fixed term of 4 years from January 2027. The role includes a Teacher Salary plus a POR2 Allowance of $10,193. A Teacher Position Information Document is available for further detail.
The Inclusive Education Coordinator will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the College's Inclusive Education Program. The focus is on supporting students with diverse, complex, and additional learning needs to achieve positive academic, social, and emotional outcomes. Collaboration with leadership, teaching staff, Education Support Officers (ESOs), families, and external agencies is essential to foster inclusive practices and enhance student engagement, wellbeing, and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the College's Inclusive Education Program.
- Provide strategic leadership in inclusive education, overseeing NCCD processes, Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs), reasonable adjustments, and compliance requirements.
- Lead and support Education Support Officer – Curriculum (ESO) staff through effective communication, professional learning, and strategic allocation of in-class support.
- Collaborate with teachers, wellbeing staff, and leadership to strengthen inclusive classroom practice, positive behaviour support, and student engagement.
- Build strong partnerships with families, allied health professionals, CESA, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support for identified students.
- Contribute to inclusive enrolment processes, transition planning, and case management for students with additional needs.
- Model a commitment to inclusive practice, advocating for equity, student wellbeing, and positive learning outcomes.
