As an Insurance Officer, you will be instrumental in the ongoing administration and maintenance of insurance arrangements for our members. Operating within the Insurance Remediations team, your contributions will involve accurate data processing, managing premium payments, and conducting technical analysis to ensure adherence to regulations and positive member outcomes. You will be part of a team that values courage, empathy, and excellence. This position represents a significant opportunity to enhance your understanding of superannuation and insurance products while delivering work of a high standard with a focus on member needs. This is a 12-month contract role, based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities

In this role, your daily activities will include:

  • Maintaining and updating member insurance records with precision and a keen eye for detail.
  • Processing insurance premium payments and associated transactions.
  • Analysing data to identify issues and contributing to remediation efforts.
  • Investigating and resolving member insurance inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Escalating risks or compliance concerns in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with team members to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
  • Utilising a variety of systems to manage a high-volume workload effectively.

Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are expected. You should also possess the ability to identify problems and develop prompt, creative solutions. It is likely you will meet some of the following criteria:

  • You possess strong analytical skills and a solid numerical aptitude.
  • Your experience includes accurate work within high-volume environments.
  • You demonstrate the ability to identify issues and formulate practical solutions.
  • You are comfortable using multiple systems and navigating technology.
  • You exhibit enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to ongoing improvement.
  • Your customer service orientation drives positive member outcomes.
  • You adapt quickly to change with a professional and proactive approach.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have knowledge of risk, compliance, or financial services, or a willingness to learn.
  • Your understanding of superannuation or insurance is developing or established.
