Internal Sales Support - Dowdens Group

Dowdens Group, Queensland's most respected pumping and water treatment business, is seeking an Internal Sales Support professional to join our team in Mackay. We handle everything from backyard solutions to large-scale regional projects.

The Internal Sales and Support department is fundamental to delivering fast, accurate, and professional customer service from initial enquiry to order completion. This role involves close collaboration with the sales team, a commitment to learning our products, processes, and systems, and a positive attitude. Key Responsibilities:

• Receive inbound customer sales enquiries via phone and email.
• Provide quotations, product information, and pricing details.
• Maintain Client Databases (Ariba system experience is an advantage).
• Provide regular updates to Sales Staff and Clients on shipping movements and Estimated Times of Arrival (ETA).
• Identify and resolve discrepancies before they escalate.
• Provide back-up support to the Retail Sales Team, including Point of Sale (POS) transactions.

Eligibility:

• Experience in Sales, Retail, or Client Support. An industrial or trade sales background is preferred.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Be approachable, respectful, and possess a good sense of humour, comfortable working in a busy, technical environment where teamwork is essential.
• Full-time position, though candidates with applicable experience seeking part-time hours may be considered based on circumstances.
