Inventory/ Warehouse Manager
Freedom Motors Australia P/L is seeking an experienced and motivated Inventory/ Warehouse Manager for an immediate start at our St Marys location. As Australia’s leading vehicle modifier for wheelchair accessibility, we are a family-owned and proudly Australian company dedicated to transforming lives by providing independent travel for people with disabilities.
This full-time, onsite role offers a salary of $80k– $90k per year, plus Super and a Company Vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the Store person to ensure systems, suppliers, and stock availability facilitate smooth daily operations.
- Order parts from domestic and international suppliers.
- Negotiate quantities, lead times, and supplier requirements as applicable.
- Monitor overall inventory levels, stock valuation, and usage trends.
- Provide accurate stock, usage, and forecasting information to senior management.
- Plan, prepare, and coordinate national and international shipments.
- Receive large overseas shipments and organise unloading, movement, and storage within the warehouse.
- Operate a forklift to safely handle pallets, containers, and heavy or oversized goods.
- Ensure inventory processes align with business, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee and validate stocktake processes and resolve discrepancies.
- Report directly to the Production Manager and contribute to a passionate and high-performing team.
This role will be responsible for leading the business's relocation within the next 3 months, including overseeing the movement of all inventory and establishing the new warehouse setup.
Working Hours: 7:00am – 3:06pm, Monday to Friday.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing warehouse operations within a manufacturing, industrial, or vehicle environment.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse management experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, stock accuracy, and dispatch operations.
- Solid knowledge of warehouse safety practices and WHS requirements, with a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- The ability to plan, prioritise, and manage daily operational workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven, positive-minded, and motivated by purpose-driven work, with the ability to work effectively with others.
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Valid Forklift Licence.
- Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
