Junior Office Assistant

Butcher Paull & Calder is a firm with a long-standing presence in Western Australia, practicing in both litigation and commercial law. This is a full-time opportunity within a CBD firm for a Junior Administration Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Reception duties
- General administration, including word processing, filing, scanning, and printing
- Assisting Solicitors, Legal Executives, and administration staff
- Attending at Courts, banks, the Office of State Revenue, and Landgate
- Archiving, which involves taking boxes to storage and retrieving them
- File opening, closing, and safe custody
- Lodgement of court documents via ecourts or comcourts
- Drafting, formatting, and amending court documents
- Preparing briefs and disclosure/discovery
- Liaising with clients, including answering calls
- Ordering office supplies
Requirements:
- Experience with Affinity or a similar database is preferred but not essential
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work well under pressure and assist with competing deadlines
- Strong document management skills
If you are proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, are reliable, have a positive attitude, and are eager to learn, this is an ideal entry role. Training will be provided to develop your skills.
Salary: Dependent on age and experience.
