Emmaus Christian College is a multi-campus, non-denominational institution dedicated to providing quality, distinctly Christian education for students from Early Learning to Year 12. About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to join a growing team of committed Christian teachers, supported by teaching colleagues and school administration staff across the College. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Creating a warm and caring learning environment within the classroom.
  • Providing excellent teaching and learning opportunities for students.
  • Demonstrating strong skills and understanding of teaching and learning in a primary school setting, utilising a range of methodologies.
  • Collaborating with other staff to ensure a distinctive Christian education, aligning practice with the College Vision, Mission, and Values.

About You

We are seeking an individual who is:

  • A committed Christian with a deep desire to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.
  • Demonstrates a passion for biblically-based Christian education.
  • Holds an appropriate qualification in Teacher Education.
  • Possesses a demonstrated passion and experience teaching students across ELC-6 classes.
  • Exhibits flexibility and a willingness to work across multiple school sites, adapting effectively to different learning environments, teams, and student needs.
  • Able to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential, catering for students with a range of learning abilities.
  • Provides evidence of excellent behaviour management skills, contributing to a safe and caring classroom environment.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and experience in working with staff, parents, and students.
  • Demonstrates ability in problem-solving, flexibility, priority setting, and time management.
  • Holds current Teachers’ Registration, a valid Working With Children Check, RRHAN-EC, and First Aid certification.
