This full-time, fixed-term position for 18 months is an opportunity to shape the future of business analytics education and research. The role will commence on 20 July 2026.

About the Role Within the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Department of Accounting is seeking a Lecturer in Business Analytics. This role is designed to advance teaching and research in business analytics, build your academic profile, and foster collaborations with industry partners. You will contribute to shaping future-ready analytics graduates while progressing your research career at a leading university.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality research in a commerce-related discipline and publish in leading refereed journals.
• Secure research funding from internal and external sources.
• Actively participate in academic conferences and workshops.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate business analytics subjects, utilising contemporary teaching approaches and e-learning platforms.
• Supervise Masters and PhD students, supporting their research training and academic development.
• Contribute to departmental service, committees, and engagement with industry, community, and professional organisations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold or be completing a PhD in a commerce-related discipline, including economics, finance, accounting, or operations.
• Demonstrate an emerging research record in business or economics, evidenced by working papers and submissions to leading journals.
• The ability to teach business analytics effectively at undergraduate and masters level, using both face-to-face and online modes.
• Commitment to collegial, inclusive practice and high standards of ethics, teaching quality, and student achievement.

Desirable Attributes:

• Participation in academic conferences, seminars, and workshops to build scholarly networks and visibility.
• Potential to attract research grants and engage with industry, government, or community organisations.
