Job Description
Reporting to the Program Leader – Counselling, this role is responsible for contributing to the delivery of counselling higher education courses, as well as the development, teaching, and assessment of subjects within these courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical teaching sessions, providing high-quality academic support to students across face-to-face and online environments.
- Develop and maintain subject materials, assessments, marking rubrics, and learning resources, ensuring alignment with curriculum, accreditation, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and support student placements, including liaising with placement providers, monitoring student progress, and ensuring placement requirements are met.
- Assess and moderate student work, identify and support students at risk, and maintain accurate records via the learning management system.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through subject review, academic governance, compliance activities, scholarship, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in the relevant discipline is required.
- Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience, including curriculum and learning material development.
- Proven ability to coordinate and successfully deliver higher education subjects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and communication skills with internal and external partners.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association.
