Job Description

Lecturer, Occupational Therapy Western Sydney University Campbelltown

This is a full-time, ongoing position at Academic Level B, located at the Campbelltown campus. The salary is $123,327 – $145,625 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

This role will support the development of future occupational therapists through teaching, research, and industry engagement within a growing health discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to teaching, curriculum design, and delivery in occupational therapy and related disciplines within the School of Health Sciences.
  • Coordinate subjects, deliver lectures and tutorials, and support student learning through assessment and feedback aligned with evidence-based practice.
  • Engage in research and scholarship activities, contributing to publications and research grant applications.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students.
  • Support growth in key areas including disability across the lifespan, mental health, rehabilitation, and aged care.
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues across the School, Faculty, and University to strengthen programs.
  • Build partnerships with industry and professional stakeholders.
  • Participate in academic administration and contribute to discipline initiatives.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals.

  • Delivery of high-quality teaching and effective subject coordination.
  • Contribution to research outputs, including publications and grants.
  • Supervision of research students and support for their academic progression.
  • Building partnerships across the University and with external stakeholders.
  • Support for curriculum development and program improvement.

About You:

  • A PhD in Occupational Therapy or a related field, or near completion, and a recognised occupational therapy qualification.
  • AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in university-level teaching and student engagement.
  • Evidence of research activity, including publications or scholarship outputs.
  • Experience developing professional and academic partnerships.
  • Experience supervising research students and contributing to grant applications.
