Legal Assistant - Allens, Sydney NSW
Allens is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Practice Support team in Sydney. This full-time, permanent role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with an expectation of 60% of your time spent in the office. Discussions regarding specific flexibility are welcome, provided business needs are met.
Your Role
As a Legal Assistant, you will work alongside legal operatives and Practice Executives, providing administrative and operational support across a variety of tasks within our Sydney office. You will be an integral part of a high-performing Central Support team, contributing to a top-tier legal practice. This position demands adaptability to diverse expectations, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support to legal operatives, adapting to evolving role and business requirements.
- Deliver administrative support, including report generation, expense management, document amendments, and physical/electronic document management (printing, filing, archiving).
- Assist with matter financials, including the monthly billing process, creating and amending billing narratives, and drafting/finalising bills.
- Support the setup and coordination of new clients and matters using matter planning tools.
- Maintain client relationship management software, record business development activities, and manage accurate contact records and project management.
- Assist with client reporting and client pitch preparation.
- Support the coordination of client events.
- Collaborate with team members within and outside the Practice Support team to ensure high-quality work and service delivery to all stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a law firm. Experience within finance, accounting, or other professional services firms will also be considered.
- High proficiency and accuracy with software, including Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), DocsCorp, and other document management software used by the firm.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to organise and prioritise work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Capacity to draft correspondence, presentations, pitch documents, and slide packs quickly and accurately.
