Your Opportunity

As the Manager, Executive Services, you will provide high-level support to the office of the General Manager and the Senior Leadership team. You will manage executive workflows, acting as a key connection point between the region, TAFE Queensland Corporate, and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will lead, manage, and support a team of Executive Support Officers, driving high levels of practice and professionalism.

This position reports to the General Manager.

This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity until 22 December 2028, unless otherwise determined. The position is based onsite at TAFE Mooloolaba, with potential for work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Salary: $135,669.51 gross per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to transformation and cultural change by promoting and modelling the values of Initiative, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, and Taking Responsibility.
  • Provide confidential and strategic advice to the General Manager and Senior Leadership team on administrative, human resource, governance, government legislation, standards, policy, and operational matters.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve communication flow and impact between the General Manager and TAFE Queensland Chief Executive Officer and Executives, staff and students of the Region, industry, the community, and other key state, national, and international stakeholders.
  • Represent the General Manager by effectively managing significant or sensitive, confidential issues and events, determining escalation extent and utilising appropriate resources for outcomes.
  • Coordinate and prepare correspondence, briefing papers, submissions, agendas, discussion papers, and reports for the General Manager, responding to Ministerial, Departmental, TAFE Queensland, and client requests.
  • Provide comprehensive executive services to the Region’s Senior Leadership team, including coordinating and preparing meeting papers, minutes, and reports.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing executive services support team, including developing standardised executive business practices to enhance outcomes for the Senior Leadership team.
  • Undertake high-level research and analysis to formulate recommendations and solutions for complex issues.
  • Negotiate persuasively with senior management, staff, external agencies, and the community on sensitive and complex issues, influencing commitment to agreed outcomes.
  • Support organisational change activities by modelling appropriate behaviours, balancing risk, and displaying exemplary integrity, ethics, and consistency.
  • Achieve set performance measures while fostering a culture that values innovation, improves motivation, and enhances performance through continuous improvement.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
