Manager, Office of the CEO City of Perth

Location: Perth WA Work Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $139,978 to $148,325 per annum plus superannuation

This is an opportunity to establish and lead a contemporary Executive Office function at the City of Perth.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee the operations of the CEO's Office. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the seamless delivery of executive support services and driving governance, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organisation. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team, Elected Members, and senior stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in enabling strategic decision-making and delivering organisational priorities.

What you will do:

  • Lead the Executive Office, providing strategic leadership and ensuring the effective delivery of executive support services across the organisation.
  • Manage the CEO's Office, coordinating executive priorities, correspondence, meetings, calendars, and organisational commitments.
  • Coordinate governance and strategic activities, including executive meetings, briefing papers, secretariat services, and key stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive continuous improvement by enhancing business processes, governance frameworks, reporting systems, and service standards.
  • Support the CEO and Executive Leadership Team by facilitating informed decision-making and ensuring organisational priorities are delivered.

What you will bring:

  • Extensive experience leading an Executive Office or delivering high-level executive support within a complex, fast-paced, and politically sensitive environment.
  • Proven leadership capability with the ability to develop teams, coordinate competing priorities, and deliver exceptional executive support services.
  • Exceptional organisational skills supported by strong strategic planning, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication skills with experience preparing high-quality executive documentation and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in improving business processes, governance practices, and executive operations through innovation and continuous improvement.
