Material Handler

Aurizon is seeking experienced Material Handlers to join our Works Planning team at our Rockhampton Depot. These positions are onsite and full-time.
In these hands-on roles, you will undertake various warehousing activities to ensure efficient operations, with a strong emphasis on safety. We are looking for organised, proactive individuals who enjoy working within a team.
About the Role:
- Perform routine inventory management processes and warehouse tasks to support customers and daily site operations.
- Manage, coordinate, and deliver critical materials to support Network Maintenance teams and approved contractors.
- Conduct internal and vendor held stocktaking as required, including cycle counts as directed, and report on product non-compliance or incorrect cataloguing/identification.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security and safe operating conditions.
- Provide skilled high-risk plant and equipment operational support to the site as required and adhere to general housekeeping requirements.
- Safely load, secure, and unload materials for delivery vehicles.
About You:
- Solid inventory management skills.
- A current forklift licence is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in a busy, large-scale logistics setting.
- Competence in SAP Materials Management or an equivalent system.
- A mandatory HR forklift ticket with a minimum of 2 years’ experience is required.
- A strong understanding of policies and procedures.
- Possession of other high-risk tickets for mobile plant operations is highly desirable.
- Basic Microsoft Suite capability, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
