About the Role

As a member of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team at Mount Isa Hospital, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centred care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, while developing your clinical and procedural expertise in a regional context.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality clinical care across obstetrics and gynaecology services, encompassing antenatal, birthing, and postnatal care.
  • Collaborating with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
  • Participating in clinical governance, quality improvement, and audit activities to enhance service delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining clinical skills, including opportunities in ultrasound and procedural training.

Working With Us

  • Remuneration: A competitive remuneration package is offered, with a base salary ranging between $5,258.70 to $5,775.70 per fortnight (L4-L7).
  • Superannuation: A generous employer contribution of 12.75% to superannuation.
  • Professional Development: An allowance and leave of 1.6 weeks per annum for professional development.
  • Inaccessibility Incentive: An annual payment of $34,500, half paid upon completion of each six (6) months of service without pro rata entitlement.
  • Vocational Training Subsidy: Entitlement to a Vocational Training Subsidy of $3,762.00 per annum if enrolled in a vocational training program.
  • Accommodation: Provided as per NWHHS Procedure for Staff Accommodation.
  • Relocation: Assistance with travel and relocation expenses, to be negotiated following appointment.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences are mandatory.
  • A C Class Motor Vehicle Licence is required.
  • Pre-employment screening, including Criminal History checks, will be conducted for the successful applicant.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
