Office and Compliance Manager

Join a well-established, privately owned quarrying and landscaping supply business with operations across regional NSW. This organisation serves a diverse customer base across residential, commercial, and government sectors, recognised for its reliability, strong relationships, and hands-on leadership.
This is a broad and autonomous position offering full ownership of finance, payroll, HR administration, compliance, and office operations. Reporting directly to the Owner/Director, you will be a key support in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business. The role is suited for an all-rounder who excels in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and values functional control.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end accounts management, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Payroll processing for a multi-site workforce, incorporating Single Touch Payroll (STP) and superannuation.
- HR administration, including onboarding processes and policy management.
- WHS and compliance coordination across multiple operational sites.
- Management of licences, permits, and regulatory obligations.
- Coordination of fleet, assets, and insurance.
- Oversight of general office operations and record management.
- Liaison with external accountants, advisors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience within construction, quarrying, trades, or similar industries.
- Proven experience in accounts and payroll. MYOB is highly regarded.
- Exposure to HR processes and WHS/compliance documentation.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities.
- Knowledge of awards and industrial relations frameworks.
- Formal qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, or WHS are highly regarded.
