About the Role
The Site Support Officer is responsible for providing essential operational support to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of site services. This role contributes to enhancing village and site satisfaction through the coordination of contractors, management of procurement activities, and ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards. This is a full-time position working an 8/6 day roster.
As a Site Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing procurement processes, including raising purchase requisitions, receipting goods and services, and monitoring budgets.
- Identifying and supporting continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinating contractor mobilisation in line with operational requirements, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Supporting site communications through pre-start meetings, notifications, and engagement with on-site personnel.
- Conducting in-field engagements and inspections to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance.
- Ensuring safety incidents and near misses are reported and assisting with investigations and corrective actions.
- Coordinating Business Support events and site visits, ensuring seamless logistics and positive stakeholder experiences.
- Monitoring contractor performance to ensure work is completed to approved scopes, company standards, and site expectations.
About You
You are an experienced Support Officer with a strong focus on process improvement and operational efficiency. You value collaborative teamwork and take pride in delivering high-quality site services.
Additionally, you will possess:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP or similar systems.
- A current C-Class manual driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of safety systems such as CHESS or INX.
- Experience in operational coordination, site support, or hospitality/facilities management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
About Telfer Operations
Telfer is a long-life gold-copper mine located in the Paterson Province of Western Australia's East Pilbara region. The operation encompasses both open-pit and underground mining, along with Australia's third-largest gold-copper processing facility. Since its commencement in 1975, Telfer has produced over 15 million ounces of gold. The site operates on a fly-in fly-out basis and provides various on-site recreational facilities to support workforce wellbeing.
