Operations Manager
Private Advertiser is seeking an Operations Manager to join their Melbourne Leadership Team. This full-time, onsite role is based in Melbourne VIC.
The Operations Manager will lead a region across South/East Melbourne, overseeing up to 10-12 direct reporting Store Managers. The position involves coaching and mentoring staff, fostering local community brand engagement, and maximising the growth and profit potential of stores within the designated area. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, industrial awards/agreements, and relevant regulatory standards is essential for the safety of people, customers, and the community. This role requires a hands-on approach, with time spent in-store to provide real-time leadership, development, and mentoring to ensure team performance, growth, and thriving. The Operations Manager will lead by example, demonstrating the ability to communicate with individuals of all seniority levels and backgrounds, while embodying an inspirational, energetic, and passionate leadership style with authentic curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple service centres, including scheduling, inventory management, and staffing.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality automotive services and repairs, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide strong leadership and coaching to the team of technicians and customer service representatives.
- Collaborate with the wider business to identify and implement process improvements.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to drive continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and internal policies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- A current driver’s licence, as this role will require frequent store visits.
