At Specsavers, we transform retail roles into careers. This full-time Optical Assistant position offers the chance to build upon your existing retail or customer service experience and develop expertise in optical services. Weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and Booking: Serve as the initial point of contact for customers, address their inquiries, and manage appointment bookings.
• Supporting Optical Experts: Assist in the pre-testing phase of eye examinations and support Optometrists to ensure efficient appointments.
• Frame Styling: Advise customers on and dispense glasses, considering various lens options tailored to individual needs.
• Customer Experience: Champion the customer experience, ensuring all customers depart with a positive impression.

Development Opportunities:

• Professional Qualification: Opportunity to work towards a Cert IV in Optical Dispensing, with full funding available (eligibility and completion requirements apply).
• Leadership Growth: Potential to advance into In-Store Trainer or Supervisor roles.

Who You Are:

• You possess a passion for customer service and enhancing people's lives.
• Previous optics experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
• You excel at building rapport with diverse individuals, becoming a trusted resource for customers seeking clear vision.
• You are comfortable working in fast-paced environments, communicate clearly, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
