The Role This position is rostered between Tuesday and Saturday with varied shift times. By applying, you confirm your availability to work across these days. At JD Sports, we are committed to operational excellence. As a Back of House Assistant, you will contribute to outstanding customer experiences by ensuring efficiency and accuracy, from the stock room to the sales floor. Your responsibilities include receiving, unpacking, processing, organising, labelling, and storing merchandise in the back of house. You will be operationally focused with a high degree of attention to detail and demonstrate considerable energy to meet high customer demand.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the Back of House Manager/Supervisor with handling deliveries, maintaining the tidiness and order of the back of house area, preventing damage, and minimising stock loss.
• Assisting the sales team with product inquiries and customer requests, including promptly collecting requested footwear styles and sizes for customers on the shop floor.
• Ensuring Back of House standards are upheld in accordance with company expectations.
• Verifying that products are priced and tagged correctly.
• Assisting in maintaining shop floor standards by replenishing stock levels as required, ensuring all size ranges are available.
• Working under the guidance and support of your Store Manager and Back of House Management team to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets.

What We're Looking For

• Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar industry.
• Experience in a Back of House or Warehouse environment is favourable, but not essential.
• A positive, can-do attitude.
• Organisational skills.
• Strong operational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• An ability to enthusiastically view challenges as opportunities for personal development, career advancement, and skill acquisition.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as dictated by store needs.
