Foton Mobility Distribution Pty Ltd, a growing commercial vehicle business serving the supply, service, and aftersales needs of buses, trucks, and heavy transport solutions across Australia, is seeking a Parts & Inventory Controller. Based in Smeaton Grange, this full-time, onsite role is crucial to strengthening our parts and inventory capability to support continued growth.

We are looking for a practical, organised, and commercially minded individual to coordinate parts ordering, stock control, sales support, and logistics. This position is ideal for someone who recognises the importance of accurate stock, timely supply, effective supplier communication, and strong internal service to ensure customers, vehicles, and operations function efficiently.

About the Role

The Parts & Inventory Controller will contribute to the effective management of parts ordering, stock control, logistics coordination, and parts sales support. This role collaborates closely with the warehouse, aftersales, service, and operations teams to ensure parts availability, accurate recording, and timely supply. While Raj will continue to oversee warehouse activity and parts movement, this role will focus on enhanced coordination of ordering, stock accuracy, supplier follow-up, customer/internal parts requests, and overall inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate parts ordering, purchasing, and supplier follow-up.
• Maintain accurate parts records, stock levels, and inventory information.
• Support stock control, stocktake activities, and inventory accuracy.
• Assist with parts sales enquiries and internal parts requests.
• Coordinate logistics, freight, and delivery requirements for parts.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, service, warranty, and warehouse teams.
• Monitor slow-moving, critical, and high-demand parts.
• Support warranty and aftersales teams with parts availability and tracking.
• Identify stock gaps, supply risks, and process improvement opportunities.
• Ensure parts processes are organised, accurate, and commercially practical.

What You Will Bring

• Previous experience in parts, inventory, stock control, warehouse coordination, or automotive/commercial vehicle parts.
• Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
• Good attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Practical understanding of ordering, receipting, stock control, and supplier coordination.
• Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Confidence using systems, spreadsheets, or inventory platforms.
• A hands-on, team-focused approach.
• Ability to prioritise and work in a busy operational environment.

Desirable

• Experience in commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, automotive, dealership, or transport industries.
• Understanding of parts catalogues, service support, or warranty environments.
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience supporting logistics, freight, or inbound/outbound parts movement.
