About the Opportunity

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership in pastoral care for a designated student cohort, ensuring their well-being aligns with the school's mission and values.
• Supervising teachers involved in student pastoral care, offering guidance and support for effective practices.
• Facilitating the induction process for new teachers within your area of responsibility or overseeing their induction when handled by other experienced staff.
• Monitoring students' holistic development, including academic performance, social interactions, spiritual growth, and physical health, and addressing concerns through appropriate measures.
• Coordinating efforts among staff focused on student welfare, fostering teamwork and aligning activities with the school's ethos.
• Managing student behaviour in line with the school's behaviour management policies, promoting a safe and respectful environment.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will possess relevant contemporary skills and experience, including:

• Proven ability to provide leadership in pastoral care, ensuring the well-being of students aligns with the school's ethos and values.
• Strong capability to monitor students' holistic development, addressing academic, social, spiritual, and physical concerns as necessary.
• Knowledge of behaviour management practices to promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Experience in organising and overseeing pastoral activities such as camps, retreats, or enrichment events, collaborating effectively with relevant personnel.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, implementing best practices in student care and sharing insights with staff.
• Strong financial management skills, including budget planning and effective handling of material resources within your area of responsibility.
