Brown & Bird is seeking a full-time, highly organised, professional, and proactive Personal Assistant to provide support to a Partner within their accounting firm. This is an opportunity for an individual who thrives in an administration environment, takes pride in their organisational skills, and can confidently manage competing priorities with discretion and attention to detail.
About the Role As Personal Assistant, you will deliver high-level administrative and client support to a Partner and their team. Your role will be integral to maintaining the Partner’s organised schedule, ensuring client matters are followed up, and contributing to the office’s efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the Partner’s diary, appointments, and meetings.
- Coordinating client communications and follow-ups.
- Preparing correspondence, documents, and reports.
- Assisting with workflow management and task tracking.
- Liaising with clients, accountants, and external stakeholders.
- Handling emails, phone calls, and general administration.
- Maintaining accurate client records and files.
- Supporting billing, lodgements, and deadline management where required.
About You The successful applicant will be professional, reliable, and able to handle information with a high level of confidentiality.
Ideal Experience and Skills
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Office Administrator, or in a similar capacity.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and general office systems.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A friendly, professional, and client-focused manner.
- Experience in accounting, finance, legal, or professional services would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
- Experience with ASIC, ABR, ATO, and MYOB is an advantage.
- Experience with supervision of reception and junior staff, and diary & travel management.
