About the Opportunity

This role offers the chance to influence personnel security practices across ASC. You will manage security processes from initial onboarding checks to ongoing suitability assessments, safeguarding critical operations and personnel. As a key partner, you will guide teams on security requirements, collaborate with government agencies, and enhance the understanding and application of security principles daily. Your contributions will ensure ASC’s compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and foster an accountable security culture. This is a dynamic role requiring adaptability, clear thinking, and sound judgment to manage shifting priorities and emerging issues.

This is a full-time, onsite position supporting compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and associated frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialised personnel security services, including vetting, clearance management, and risk assessments.
• Support and maintain ASC’s Trusted Insider Program and DISP obligations.
• Collaborate with Defence Security, AGSVA, ASIO, and other agencies on sensitive security matters.
• Administer security registers, access systems, and clearance records.
• Lead security incident investigations and reporting within stipulated timeframes.
• Provide clear, practical security guidance and training to stakeholders.

About You

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in personnel vetting, security screening, or a comparable area.
• Experience handling confidential personnel information and applying privacy principles.
• A strong grasp of compliance, governance, and risk frameworks.
• Effective communicator capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise, maintain organisation, and perform under heavy workloads.
• A composed and measured approach when dealing with sensitive information.
• Professional, respectful, and consistent interaction with individuals and information.
• Keen attention to detail with the capacity to identify and address discrepancies.

Eligibility

This position requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your ability to hold this role is contingent on obtaining and maintaining such clearances.
