PM Stocker - Part-Time

Costco Wholesale is seeking a Part-Time PM Stocker to join our team in Coomera. This role involves maintaining merchandise levels and presentation within the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to merchandising standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to define merchandising plans and priorities.
• Generate lists of merchandise to be retrieved from steel by forklift drivers for stocking.
• Organise merchandise, collect stray items, and stock to ensure high merchandise availability.
• Prepare boxes for display and accessibility, and cut twine or shrink-wrap from pallets.
• Mark merchandise numbers on unmarked items.
• Stock opened cases onto shelves.
• Move and position pallets of merchandise.
• Consolidate merchandise from partial pallets onto full ones.
• Wrap, tie, and tag pallets for return to steel.
• Verify correct merchandise signage.
• Construct and assemble display models as needed.
• Modify displays to ensure safe handling by members, which may include bolting heavy equipment or taping blade edges.
• Remove loose cardboard and slip-sheets from the floor.
• Clear the sales floor of debris and sweep.
• Remove empty pallets from the sales floor and re-wrap loose merchandise.
• Operate the cardboard baler and trash compactor.
• Observe all safety and security procedures.
• Assist forklift drivers by spotting to ensure safety in potential fall-danger zones.
• Follow established inventory preparation guidelines before physical inventory.
• Adhere to proper merchandising and general safety procedures and standards.
• Assist members with loading large items into their carts, direct them to merchandise, and provide information on merchandise status.
• Support other warehouse departments as required.
• Deliver prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.

Equipment Operation:

• Manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, forklift, battery charger, pallets, cart, flatbed, broom, wheeled bin, rubbish compactor, cardboard baler, wrench, screwdriver, pliers, cutter, sticker marking gun, shrink wrap machine, license labels, RF gun, computer, printer, calculator, writing utensils, diamond tester, case alarms, electronic merchandise, cameras, cash register, table top/hand-held scanners.

Qualifications:

• Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required, or a current forklift driving licence.
• Experience/Skills:
• Strong customer service skills, sales, merchandising, or comparable experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Data entry and data management.
• Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and basic knowledge of AS400.
• Basic math skills.
• Other Specific Requirements:
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check for certain roles.
