St Francis Xavier is a co-educational Catholic P-6 school located in the City of Ipswich, adjacent to the Ipswich Motorway. With an enrolment of over 470 students and established in 1910, the school has a history spanning over 100 years. It embraces children and families from diverse international backgrounds, with over forty nationalities represented. About the Opportunity

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents, and practices.
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents, and the community.
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers, and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture.
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
• Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

• Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

• A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.

Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
