Job Description

Summary St Eugene College seeks a Music teacher to foster a passion for music in primary students, while upholding the values, mission, and principles of Catholic Education.

  • Location: St Eugene College (Primary) - Burpengary
  • Start Date: Commencing Term 3 - End of 2026 school year
  • Work Hours: 6 hours per week (1 day/week) - Day negotiable
  • Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + Super
  • Status: Part Time Fixed Term/Variation

About the Opportunity In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment that is ordered and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents, and practices.
  • Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy, evaluating their effectiveness, assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes to students, parents, and the community.
  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers, and other staff members to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture.
  • Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
  • Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

About You To be successful in this position, you will possess relevant contemporary skills and experience, including:

  • Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
  • Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • A commitment to engaging with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve optimal educational outcomes for students.
  • A passion for supporting students' spiritual and moral development.
  • For this position, you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
