Primary Years Coordinator POR2
Xavier College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Years Coordinator to join the founding leadership of its new Riverlea Park Campus (R–6), which will open in January 2027.
This position is classified as POR2 and will commence in Term 4, 2026, for a fixed term of 2 years. The role includes a full-time, permanent teaching component.

The Primary Years Coordinator will provide leadership across Years 3-6, supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and wellbeing programs to foster positive student outcomes. This role involves close collaboration with leadership and teaching staff to coordinate literacy initiatives, curriculum implementation, and family engagement.
The successful applicant will be a collaborative and innovative educator capable of mentoring colleagues, promoting evidence-informed practice, and contributing to continuous improvement. They will build strong relationships within the College community and support the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.
As the Primary Years Coordinator, you will:
- Lead and support high-quality teaching and learning practices across Years 3-6.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of literacy, curriculum, and assessment practices.
- Support the delivery of key assessment and reporting processes, including PAT, NAPLAN, and other College assessment initiatives.
- Build positive and collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Mentor and support teachers through collaboration, coaching, and professional learning opportunities.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities, initiatives, and operational requirements within a dynamic school environment.
- Foster student wellbeing, inclusive education, and a culture of continuous improvement.
