Colonial Fruit Company at Chadstone Shopping Centre is seeking a Produce Team Member. This is a casual position with the possibility of becoming permanent.

As a Produce Team Member, you will be instrumental in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities:

• Merchandising produce effectively, or demonstrating a willingness to learn this skill.
• Applying comprehensive knowledge of fresh fruit and vegetables.
• Managing stock rotation and waste to maintain quality.
• Adhering to stringent quality control protocols and food safety standards.
• Maintaining the tidiness and organisation of the produce department and adjacent areas.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Assisting customers with product selection, offering product insights, and delivering excellent service.
• Providing occasional support in the grocery department and at the front end/registers.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Produce retail or grocery environment.
• In-depth knowledge of produce, including understanding seasonal availability.
• Exceptional customer service skills, characterised by a friendly and approachable manner.
• Capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating harmoniously with colleagues and taking initiative.
• Strong communication skills, enabling rapport building with both customers and team members.

We are seeking an experienced Produce Team Member with all-round grocery industry experience.

Hours: Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week. Availability: The employee must be available 7 days a week, with flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
