The Opportunity Veolia is seeking a Project Cost Controller to join our Industrials and Energy team in Henderson, Western Australia. This full-time, hybrid role provides essential support to the Refractories Administration, Finance, and Operations teams, with primary responsibility for the billing of major and minor projects and all associated accounts functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong administrative and accounts experience to contribute to a dynamic team in a critical support capacity.

Responsibilities
- Business Administration
- Perform general office administration duties.
- Maintain Refractories registers.
- Coordinate with administration and finance teams across all states.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Veolia's Internal Control and Audit policies.
- Meet deadlines and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Operations Administration
- Coordinate with site supervisors and managers.
- Follow up on timesheets and Purchase Orders with the operations team.
- Provide asset coordination as required.
- Accounts Administration
- Manage billing for Major and Minor Projects.
- Reconcile labour, plant, materials, and third-party invoices.
- Understand customer contracts, rates, and requirements.
- Follow up on outstanding items related to billing.
- Liaise with customer representatives for Purchase Order changes and billing approvals.
- Maintain billing folders.
- Liaise with the finance team for expense journals related to billing.
- Track all work for billing purposes.
- Lodge invoices in customer-based systems.
- Update invoicing templates as required.
- Escalate billing or costing issues to the Administration Manager.
- Support the Finance Manager - Refractories and the Administration Manager as required.
- Attend Major Projects if required.
Requirements for Success
- Tertiary study aligned with the position description.
- Understanding of EBAs and Contracts concerning billing and payroll.
- Experience using and navigating various software platforms.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel or Google Sheets knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Experience in a project or accounts officer role.
