Project Officer

Agriculture Victoria Melbourne VIC $100,894 to $114,476 + super full-time, hybrid

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is seeking a Project Officer to join Agriculture Victoria. This role is a vital component of a dedicated, high-achieving team focused on ensuring robust coordination and collaboration in the execution of Animal Welfare and Agriculture Regulatory Policy (AWARP) division functions.

The Project Officer will play a key part in supporting division leadership, engaging with senior management across the division, Agriculture Victoria, and DEECA. The role is instrumental in securing necessary support and cooperation to achieve division priorities effectively and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering administrative support functions to a consistently high standard.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement in the provision of support across the division.
  • Supporting internal meetings and external stakeholder events attended by division leadership.
  • Managing email and calendars.
  • Applying sound judgment in preparing responses to branch enquiries.
  • Coordinating information requests.
  • Arranging travel, purchasing, and finance activities.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary degree in business administration or a related field would be well regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing confidential executive administrative support to senior management.
  • Experience working with senior-level managers in a large organisation, preferably within the public sector.

This is an ongoing position. The work location is flexible within Victoria, with hybrid work arrangements available.
