McNab is seeking a capable and proactive Reception / Administration Officer for its Toowoomba office on a full-time, onsite basis. This role will collaborate closely with the local Executive Assistant in Toowoomba, with support from the Brisbane-based Office Manager. It is suited for an individual who enjoys managing daily office operations, fostering strong local relationships, and ensuring a smooth, professional, and careful workflow.
The position offers ownership of local front-of-house and administration support, providing variety, autonomy, and the chance to become an integral part of a growing, family-oriented construction business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily front-of-house and office administration functions, including:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for visitors and callers, providing a warm and professional welcome.
- Acting as a key contact for reception and administration support, managing calls and enquiries in conjunction with the South Brisbane receptionist.
- Coordinating meeting room bookings, catering requests, and shared office calendars.
- Collecting, scanning, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assisting with general administration tasks such as invoice coding and ordering stationery and office supplies.
- Managing the office car park rotation schedule for equitable distribution among Toowoomba staff.
- Maintaining a tidy, professional, and well-presented office environment, including reception areas, kitchens, and meeting rooms.
- Managing building body corporate responsibilities and cultivating strong relationships with other tenants.
- Coordinating internal events and office activities, such as the office Christmas party and staff birthdays.
About You:

- Experience in office administration or similar roles, ideally within a family-owned or small-to-medium private business.
- Comfort in undertaking diverse tasks and taking ownership of daily responsibilities.
- Demonstrated autonomy in fulfilling role requirements.
- An enjoyment of being relied upon and trusted.
- Organisational skills, proactivity, and a solutions-focused approach, while maintaining a calm and composed demeanour.
- The ability to build relationships easily and take pride in presentation and work quality.
- A current Queensland Driver Licence (required for mail collection).
