Category 5 is seeking a Recruitment Support Officer for a permanent, full-time position based in Port Hedland, Western Australia. This role operates on a Monday to Friday roster and is an onsite position.

As a Recruitment Support Officer, you will gain practical experience across the entire recruitment lifecycle while assisting our busy recruitment team. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the development of strong talent pools, facilitating efficient hiring processes, and acquiring the foundational skills necessary for progression to a Recruitment Specialist. Skills & Experience
- Must be a Port Hedland resident (local role, not FIFO)
- Previous administration or recruitment experience is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident, professional communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proactive team player with strong initiative, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Possesses a “no job too big or small” mindset
- Mine site experience is advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and screen job applications, directing candidate enquiries to the relevant recruiter.
- Communicate with applicants, internal managers, and clients to fulfil recruitment requirements.
- Prepare high-quality candidate submissions for the Account Manager.
- Organise and maintain accurate candidate databases and records.
- Verify tickets, qualifications, and compliance documentation.
- Schedule interviews, prepare necessary materials, and support a smooth interview process.
- Collect and document interview feedback and conduct reference checks.
- Coordinate onboarding processes, including material preparation and liaison with departments.
- Allocate client and internal inductions and communicate job placement details.
- Conduct drug and alcohol screenings (training will be provided).
- Maintain recruitment systems and software, while assisting with general administrative tasks.
