Specsavers Cheltenham is seeking individuals to join their team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with one weekend day being essential.

This role offers the opportunity to transition from a retail background into a career as an Optical Assistant. It serves as a foundational step to develop expertise in optical matters, building upon existing retail or customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the initial point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and managing appointments.
• Assist with patient pre-testing procedures and support Optometrists to ensure efficient appointments.
• Provide guidance on frame selection and dispense glasses, considering various lens options to meet customer needs.
• Focus on delivering an excellent customer experience, ensuring customers depart satisfied.

Development Opportunities:

Upon mastering the foundational aspects of the role, further development includes:

• Pursuing a Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing with full funding provided (eligibility and completion requirements apply).
• Potential to advance into In-Store Trainer or Supervisor positions.
