Retail Sales Assistant

Hempel (Wattyl) Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Retail Sales Assistant for their Mackay Store. This is a permanent, part-time, onsite position.

The store operates Monday to Friday, with no night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Address customer inquiries and process orders.
• Accurately process sales, including cash handling and EFTPOS transactions.
• Assist with paint tinting and mixing.
• Conduct regular stock takes, replenish stock, and manage the unpacking and storage of incoming goods.
• Utilise pallet jacks, walkie stackers, and other equipment for manual handling tasks.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy store environment.

Requirements:

• Strong customer service skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Sales experience, preferably in a retail setting.
• High attention to detail.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

This role is physically demanding, involving manual handling up to 28kg and operation of machinery as required.

Remuneration and Hours:

• Uniforms and training will be provided.
• Paid ABOVE award rates.
• Hours: Monday to Friday (no nights).
