Choice Discounts is seeking a Retail Support (Assistant) Store Manager for our Mitchelton location. This full-time, onsite role offers a salary of $64,000 – $70,000 per year.

About the Role As a Retail Support Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Mitchelton store. This position requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all aspects of store operations, including staffing, inventory, and financial performance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates to maximise productivity and sales.
• Implement and monitor store policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Assist in collaborating with regional and corporate teams to drive business growth and profitability.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail management role.
• Previous experience in Discount, Department store, or Supermarkets is essential.
• Strong merchandising skills.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
• Proficiency in computer use.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
• Flexibility to work across the whole week, as the store operates 7 days a week.
