Haymes Paint in Mitchell is seeking a Part Time Stores Sales Assistant to join their team. This onsite, part-time role involves 30 hours per week, spread across 5 days including Saturdays.

This position offers an opportunity to deliver excellent customer service, engage with colours, provide professional knowledge and expertise, and work within a dynamic team. You will be exposed to both sales and operational duties in a high-activity location serving trade and residential customers. If you enjoy customer interaction, have an interest in design and colour, or a desire to learn, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide service, advice, and product solutions to trade and retail customers.
• Address all paint-related queries, including tinting and colour matching.
• Manage inventory, including receiving goods and stocktaking.
• Replenish stock on shelves.
• Process in-store and phone orders.
• Build relationships with repeat customers and colleagues.
• Assist with visual displays, store presentation, and general housekeeping.
• Adhere to safe work practices.

About You:

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• A willingness to learn, grow, and develop with Haymes Paint.
• Possession of a driver's licence for local deliveries.
• Experience with stock handling and merchandising.
• Confidence to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 15kg.
• Knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) systems or relevant tech-savviness.
• Previous painting industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
