Science Teacher
Inspired Recruitment is seeking a Science Teacher for a full-time, permanent role at a school situated near Traralgon, VIC.
This position involves teaching Science to Years 7-10. There is a possibility to teach VCE Science from 2027, contingent on the successful teacher's skills and preferences. The school is seeking an ideal start date of 13/07/2026 (Term 3).
Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 + super, dependent on experience.
Role Overview
As a Science Teacher, your responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging Science lessons for Years 7-10, aiming to cultivate students' curiosity, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking. You will establish a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes. The role offers the potential to transition to VCE Science teaching from 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons for Years 7-10.
- Develop students' scientific knowledge, inquiry skills, and practical laboratory abilities.
- Create engaging, inclusive, and well-managed learning experiences.
- Assess and report on student progress according to the Victorian Curriculum.
- Contribute positively to the Science faculty and the broader school community.
- Prepare for the potential of teaching VCE Science from 2027 onwards.
Requirements
To be considered for this Science Teacher position, applicants must possess:
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Education or equivalent).
- The ability to teach Science across Years 7-10.
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and Science pedagogy.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to student wellbeing and success.
