Secondary Teacher - Maitland Christian School
Maitland Christian School is seeking a full-time Secondary Teacher to join our onsite team in Metford. This temporary contract extends until the end of 2026, with a possibility of extension. A specialisation in Science is highly desirable, with an ongoing 0.6 FTE contract available for a candidate with suitable qualifications and experience.

The Position
- Work Type: Full-time
- Location: Metford (Onsite)

Essential Criteria
- A committed Christian actively involved in their local church.
- The ability to actively subscribe to and promote the foundational beliefs and doctrines of Maitland Christian School Limited.
- A relational and empowering educator capable of growing student vision and learning capacity within a Christian Education framework.
- Demonstrated skills in relating to students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
- A collaborative learner able to work within flexible teams to pursue ongoing excellence.
- An education professional with growing knowledge of their learning area, pedagogy, and innovation.
- Experience teaching across Years 7-12.
- Ability to demonstrate skills and flexibility to work with staff, students, and parents in a vibrant learning environment.
- A willingness to learn, grow, and be coached as a teacher.
- Well-developed communication, administration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience teaching senior classes is highly desirable. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Selection Process
Following the application closing date, the School's Selection Committee will review applications and shortlist candidates for interview. At least one round of interviews is anticipated.
Salary
Salary will be in line with the NSW Christian Schools Teacher Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2024, determined by the successful applicant's level of responsibility and experience.
