Ellenbrook Christian College (ECC), a Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 school situated in Perth’s northeast, delivers Christ-centred education focused on fostering the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social development of each student. As a member of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA), ECC is dedicated to preparing students for flourishing in life, faith, and character.
We are seeking dedicated and faith-driven Teachers to join our growing Secondary School team, commencing 1 January 2027. These are permanent positions with varying full-time equivalents (FTE).
In this capacity, you will teach secondary English, Mathematics, or Science. Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging lessons, supporting student wellbeing, and participating in the broader activities of the College. This role offers a significant opportunity to guide young individuals, imparting faith and knowledge that can shape lives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Teaching one or more of the following subjects: English, Mathematics, or Science across secondary year levels, applying a thorough understanding of the Western Australian curriculum.
- Delivering engaging, faith-based instruction in alignment with the SCEA Biblical Foundations Framework.
- Planning, teaching, and assessing using a range of strategies, incorporating differentiation and targeted support for all learners.
- Cultivating positive classroom environments through effective management, clear communication, and precise tracking of student progress.
- Contributing to student wellbeing and pastoral care, supporting their spiritual, academic, and personal growth.
- Functioning as an active team member by collaborating with colleagues, participating in co-curricular activities, and supporting College life and policies.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and active membership in a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
- Demonstrated alignment with the National Professional Standards for Teachers, including subject competence supported by evidence (e.g., folios, workbooks, teaching notes).
- Proficiency in using diverse, effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies to meet student needs and course objectives.
- Strong communication skills with both students and adults, coupled with competent use of technology in teaching practice.
- Professional commitment to ethical responsibilities, serving as a role model, and fostering positive relationships.
- Possession of a current Working with Children Check and valid TRBWA registration, or a willingness to apply for these.
