SENIOR SALES ASSISTANT

The Happy Pet Place, a leading pet retailer in Western Australia, is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Sales Assistant to join our busy and growing pet store in O'Connor. This is a full-time, onsite position.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a retail professional aiming to advance their career. For the suitable candidate, this position presents a clear progression towards a management role as the business expands.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting them in selecting ideal products for their pets.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation, visual merchandising, and ensure the store is organised and adequately stocked.
• Process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with product knowledge and advice to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
• Care for various animals, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.

Requirements:

• A passionate and driven experienced retailer who enjoys customer engagement.
• Someone who thrives in the fast-paced retail environment and is willing to be on their feet throughout the day.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Retail or customer service experience is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work Tuesdays to Saturdays.
• Physical fitness is necessary. This is a physically demanding role involving a significant amount of unpacking high volumes of stock and stock rotation.
• A forklift ticket is highly desirable.
