• Remuneration: Starting at $91.42 per hour, dependent on qualifications.

Are you a committed educator passionate about guiding migrant learners through their vocational pathways? We are seeking a Sessional English Teacher with a strong desire to help migrant learners build confidence, enhance their English proficiency, and forge brighter futures. In this role, you will contribute significantly to students' settlement, connection, and success within their new community. You will be part of a supportive, collaborative team of educators dedicated to student achievement, benefiting from mentoring and ongoing support from experienced line managers.

What you'll do:

• Deliver EAL lessons that are engaging, culturally responsive, and adapted to the varied needs of learners.
• Foster a secure, inclusive classroom environment where each student feels valued and supported.
• Monitor and support student progress towards their language and settlement objectives.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to exchange ideas and best practices.
• Uphold high standards in teaching, assessment, and compliance.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about supporting the success of newly arrived migrants.
• Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to student outcomes.
• Is collaborative, reliable, and proactive.
• Values diversity and shows respect for all cultures and backgrounds.
• Possesses strong organisational and digital literacy skills.

Must have:

• An undergraduate degree (or higher) in any discipline.
• A TESOL qualification, typically including one of the following:
• Graduate Certificate in TESOL (most common minimum)
• Graduate Diploma in TESOL
• Master of TESOL / Applied Linguistics
• A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Essential Documentation:

• Working with Children Clearance (WWCC).
• Current police check.
• Certified documentation verifying the right to work.
• Certified copies of qualifications and transcripts.
