Sports Administrator
Moriah College is seeking an experienced and detail-orientated Sports Administrator to join its high school sports department. This is a permanent, part-time, onsite position based in Sydney NSW, requiring 20 hours per week.
The Sports Administrator is integral to supporting the delivery of Moriah College's dynamic and inclusive sports program. This role provides efficient administrative, operational, and logistical coordination, working collaboratively with staff, coaches, students, parents, and external sporting organisations. The aim is to ensure all sporting activities are well planned, safe, and align with the College's commitment to educational excellence, student wellbeing, and Jewish values.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Event organisation, including venue booking.
- Liaising with the Academic Office for award ceremonies on a term-by-term basis.
- Working closely with the maintenance and facilities team.
- Processing payments and invoices, including using Promaster to submit receipts.
- Sending online permission notes, excursion emails, and reminders to staff, students, and parents.
- Organising or arranging bus licenses for new sport staff as required.
- Assisting with the organisation of interstate and other sporting events, including booking flights, accommodation, catering, and bus rental.
- Booking venues for events throughout the year, such as carnivals and Year 7 & 8 grade sport held every Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Updating the Sport Google calendar and College-wide calendar, while working with stakeholders such as the Academic Office and Calendar Committee.
- Assisting with catering orders and delivery for events.
- Creating signage as needed.
- Student reporting, including uploading information into student school reports, covering programs, team involvement, and representative pathway involvement.
Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably within the sporting industry.
- A valid Working with Children Check.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to use initiative and common sense.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including MS Office.
- Friendly, personable, and compassionate demeanour.
