Job Description

Advance your career as a Store Manager at Autobarn. This role is for a leader focused on people, ready to assume responsibility for a store. If you excel in retail, enjoy motivating teams, and are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, this is an outstanding opportunity to join the Autobarn family as a Store Manager.

Your rostered hours will be 38 per week, from Tuesday to Saturday. While automotive experience is advantageous, your leadership capabilities and capacity to drive results are paramount.

About the role

As Store Manager, you will oversee daily operations, cultivate a high-performing team, and shape a distinctive store culture. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will positively impact customers, the team, and the business. You will report to the Area Manager and are responsible for:

• Team & Culture: Building a skilled and passionate team through value-based recruitment, performance coaching, capability development, and driving service excellence.
• Leadership: Leading by embodying Autobarn's values, inspiring an inclusive, high-performing team, and driving sales growth, operational excellence, and customer experience.
• Health & Safety: Promoting a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance, and undertaking proactive risk management.
• Store Standards: Maintaining visual merchandising, promotional accuracy, and presentation standards.
• Financial & Admin: Managing budgets, rostering, inventory, and performance metrics to optimise outcomes and minimise loss.

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• A sales-driven mindset with the capability to achieve financial results and KPIs.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• A values-led, collaborative, and adaptable approach, with the ability to lead change and build strong customer and retail relationships.
