Dowdens Group, a long-standing Queensland entity specialising in pump and fluid management solutions, seeks a full-time Store Person for its active Mackay branch. Serving key regional sectors including mining, agriculture, and industrial services, our Mackay operation is a hands-on environment where genuine work and collaborative effort are paramount.

Role Summary

This full-time position supports the smooth daily functioning of our warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching stock to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to our clientele. The role offers variety and the opportunity to become a valued team member.

Essential attributes for this role include the capacity to collaborate within a small team, work independently, and communicate effectively across all departments and with personnel. Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and computer proficiency are also vital.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing the receipt and dispatch of goods
• Picking and packing items, including wrapping and strapping pallets for transit
• Expediting customer orders
• Operating forklifts for loading and unloading trucks, where licensed
• Implementing stock rotation and conducting stocktakes
• Maintaining punctuality and readiness for work

Eligibility

• Previous experience in a warehouse or store person capacity is required; experience in industry or trade-based warehouses is highly regarded.
• A current HRW Forklift Licence is preferred but not essential; training and licensing will be provided if necessary.
• Demonstrated proficiency in technology, organisation, and computer skills is necessary.
