About the Role
We are recruiting a Store Person for our Bayswater facility. This is a full-time, onsite position. You will be instrumental in the effective functioning of our warehouse and storage operations, ensuring inventory is organised, accurately logged, and readily available for distribution. Your responsibilities will encompass the receipt, storage, and dispatch of trailer parts and components, directly contributing to our capacity for prompt and dependable customer service. This role is fundamental to the seamless operation of our warehousing and distribution centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process incoming goods and materials, confirming quantities and condition against delivery documentation.
- Store and organise inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring items are accessible and clearly labelled.
- Maintain precise records of stock levels and inventory movements utilising warehouse management systems.
- Pick and pack orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and prompt preparation for delivery.
- Conduct regular stock takes and contribute to inventory audits to maintain current and accurate records.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment in accordance with health and safety protocols.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
- Support fellow warehouse team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse, storage facility, or distribution centre is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer literacy.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts; a forklift licence or the willingness to obtain one is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly concerning inventory records and order picking.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving goods.
- A commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with warehouse protocols.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving workloads and warehouse demands.
